I have had dads childhood dresser for the last year and he hasn't even noticed its gone!!
He probably will after reading this post..oops
Anyways, Dad used it as a child (dark color) and Tyler used it as a child (red color).
I decided to strip it and take it back to its original color in hopes to pass it on to one of my sons someday.
Lauren, this is kinda like the quilt you "borrowed" from Gram...It's fun to see things we remember as children and think back to the memories...
Its fun we are growing up and can cherish them in our own homes.
Very nice, that's a great little dresser. Yeah, I've had the glider rocker since before Owen was born. I think if I took it back, there wouldn't be any room for it anyhow!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more! The memories that something has and when you look at it, they all come rushing back! I remember using that dresser for a while too as a kid! I am glad you have it and are restoring it...those are things to cherish most! Love it! Nice work :)
